Information you provide directly

• Account information: email address and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register
• Waitlist information: email address if you join our waitlist before registering

Information collected automatically

• Usage data: search queries you perform, number of searches per month, and features you access
• Technical data: browser type, device type, and approximate location (country level only) via standard web logs
• Authentication tokens: JWT tokens stored in your browser's localStorage to keep you logged in

Information we do NOT collect

• Payment card details (handled entirely by Stripe)
• Your eBay or Etsy account credentials
• Personal data of your customers
• Precise location data

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and operate the Hargora service
• Authenticate your account and maintain your session
• Enforce plan limits (e.g., monthly search quotas)
• Send transactional emails (account confirmation, billing receipts)
• Improve our product based on usage patterns (aggregated and anonymized)
• Respond to your support requests
• Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data for advertising purposes.

3. Data Sharing

We share your data only with the following trusted third parties, and only as necessary to operate the service:

• Cloudflare — infrastructure, database (D1), and CDN services
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) — server hosting (EC2)
• Stripe — payment processing (we never see your full card number)
• Google (Gemini API) — AI analysis of publicly available marketplace data

We do not share your personal information with any other third parties without your explicit consent, except when required by law.

4. Marketplace Data

Hargora retrieves publicly available listing data from marketplaces including eBay and Etsy via their official APIs. This data includes product titles, prices, and listing details that are already publicly visible on those platforms.

We do not store eBay user personal data. We do not process or store any personal information of eBay or Etsy buyers or sellers beyond what is described in this policy.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored in Cloudflare D1 (a SQLite-based database hosted on Cloudflare's global network) and on AWS EC2 servers. All data in transit is encrypted using TLS/HTTPS.

Passwords are never stored in plain text — we use bcrypt hashing with a strong work factor.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

• Access: request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: request deletion of your account and personal data
• Portability: request your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: object to processing of your data in certain circumstances

Hargora uses minimal cookies. See our Cookie Policy for full details. In summary:

• We use localStorage (not cookies) to store your authentication token
• We use your browser's localStorage to store your search history locally
• We do not use third-party advertising cookies
• Cloudflare may set security cookies as part of its infrastructure services

8. Children's Privacy

Hargora is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a prominent notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates when this policy was last revised.
